Born with the ability to create flames from his palms, Griffon Rakell must flee when his parents die in a disturbing fire that destroys the estate, taking with him only his blind infant sister Marlee, and Raphael, a halfling who has been his best friend since birth. Six years later, Griffon and Raphael are still on the run, doing what they can to protect those who are less fortunate. Griffon would stop at nothing to protect his little family, but there are parties who are determined to make sure that this light goes out.
What are these flowers, you ask?
Well they are daleants, "sleep's kiss," an original flora that I designed for my New Adult fantasy trilogy-to-be This Light Must Go Out. I am so invested in this story that I actually have a daleant tattoo. Hey, you have to be a fan of your own work.
