In developing my own blog, part of that process is to snoop around other blogs and see what there is to see. I started by wandering through Jen's blog Bluejay Musing, which I think is an adorable name! I really wish there was an about me section to get to know Jen better but to also get to know the story behind that name selection. I think the blog's theme worked perfect with the name with a very calming picture of a forest and the color palette was very serene. I also really appreciated that so many of the posts had pictures showcasing the content of the blog post. After going into some of the posts, I saw that there was a "Video Games" folder, but no real menu to look at any other categories that Jen had to offer. Jen has such a good base for much more content!
Next, I moseyed on over to Video Games as Literature by Hannah. What I think is perfect about this blog is the fact that as soon as I opened the link and saw the theme and colors, I thought, "Yup, this is Hannah." The fact that I would immediately be able to recognize it as hers is awesome, but I think a blog name that is more her would be much more fitting. I appreciate that she has an about page with an adorable photo, but it doesn't actually have any content yet. Her home page is also empty, which surprised me, since I figured everything would naturally show up there. The blog section was nice, clean and crisp, matching the rest of her theme. I would definitely make sure that the social media links at the bottom of the page link up to Hannah's own accounts and not Wix's.
Both blogs have so much potential for more imagination and I look forward to see where they go!
